  well, it's officailly in print now.

  i was about 5 or six when they began studying so i have heard many of the weird suppositions made and superstitions fostered by jw's.

  i read a post from a new member a moment ago and was intigued by something they said.

  I've always thought that if the demunz are real powerful spirit creatures who are out to get us:

  Why would they live in a coffee cup I just bought at Goodwill?

  Why do they bother terrorizing the fishing pole I got at the neighbors garage sale?

  Don't they have anything better?

  Wouldn’t a direct approach be more logical than living in inanimate objects waiting for some poor unsuspecting witless to stumble upon them?

  You’d think after millennia of watching humans they’d be improving on what they do?

  after reading this article it just reminded me that koran and bible are completely backward.

  the justification for this forced marriage is found in deuteronomy 22:23-24: ' .

  if a man is caught in the act of raping a young woman who is not engaged, he must pay fifty pieces of silver to her father.

  We must not forget that, according to the contemporary Bible and Koran, us females have no useful opinions or practical feelings.

  Unfortunately, until religion recognizes women as viable emotional beings, horrors like this will still be the norm.

  i've been lurking here since late last year...was very hesitant to join the forum because of fear that satan would control my pc.... .

  i'm born in, but always had my little doubts about "the truth" since i was young, but went ahead and got baptized ect.... .

  i stumbled upon this site while looking for a km and initially thought it was a jw forum, but after seeing some of the titles of various threads, i thought to myself "i'm on an apostate website".

  As A JW - How Often Did This Happen?

  when it comes to settling problems with a fellow believer, or perhaps we have offended or maybe stumbled somebody unknowingly, how often has jesus words at matt 18:15-17 been ignored, where the default setting of most jw's is to go straight to the elders.. .

  has this priciple ever been 'updated' in later articles?

  or would this still be the most valid?.

  Yes there is a "system" in place but, in reality, there are only two scenarios when a problem arises.

  1. You are a low level R&Fer and/or you are not popular; you know from experience that the best thing is to keep your mouth shut.

  2. You have a higher rank and/or are popular; you cry to whomever will listen, especially the elders, until it goes YOUR WAY because you've got the pull to make it happen.

  the witnesses have never been backwards in denigrating the catholics for scaring their members with the threat of eternal damnation with the hellfire doctrine(,which they dont do anymore),however the wtb&ts are continually scaremongering their followers with the eternal destructionn of their members with armaggeddon if they dont adhere to the wt`s interpretation of current policy.

  the gods of the magic books of religion have been proved as useless in the modern age, treating women as second class citizens, gay people not deserving of basic rights, and we're all going to be saved, lol, if we don't let injured persons have blood transfusions, it's time mankind had total free range at our destiny , we can do it on our own, let's forget looking to god's, we now have the technology and know how to do it on our own, the time for god's has gone, they had their own agenda.. it was nothing to do with the human family, they just like playing with us like ants!!!.

  let's have a big round of applause for our scientists and technologists who work fearlesly for more cure for our ailments, whilst god's does nothing but blame us for things they would be easily able to cure!!!.

  Humanity has the ability to handle their own problems, that is, until greed and selfishness step in.

  I think most look to a supernatural solution because they feel powerless to stop what the human race does to itself; like saying, “oh thank goodness someone more powerful than me is going to take care of it all, oh joy”.

  Supernatural solutions wouldn't be needed if everyone stepped up to the plate, took responsibility and handled their own problems; in fact most religion and government wouldn’t be necessary either.

  I don’t see that happening anytime soon though.

  What makes you think they do what they say?

  They lie about so many other things what’s stopping them for lying about this?

  Who’s really going to check up on they big wigs?

  Pictures in the publications are staged and anyone who dares to question the actions of the gobbling body-snatchers is expelled.
